Dear Mr Vosonic,

Could you please upgrade the firmware so that when I perform a photo backup of a memory card, only new pictures are transferred to the VP8860's hard drive (instead of all as it is currently the case).

I'm currently on a long trip, taking loads of pictures everyday and making daily backups of my memory card (32GB). When I backup, pictures from day 1 to day N are transferred. This means that I have a directory with pictures of day 1, another with pictures of day 1 & 2, a third one with pictures of day 1 to 3, and so on. Since this is a waste of disk space, I have to delete manually all redundant pictures.

Moreover, I suggest you add a Select All / Deselect All functionality. This would be useful when dealing with huge lots of files (like deleting many redundant pictures). This would save me (and other users) a lot of time.

Just update a good news, right now I can use CF Kingston 8GB 133X elite pro without any problem since FIRMWARE RELEASE 1.0.0-B10-VP8860

But I don't try with the latest FIRMWARE RELEASE 1.0.0-B12-VP8860

VP2160 can read SDHC cards up to 8GB under the latest firmware V1.18e.

After download, you can extract the zip file and follow the instruction inside for update.

Dear jayspy,

From our experience, it may be hard disk problem.

Or can you feel ( touch the rear case by a hand or hear the sound) the hard disk is working when you power on the VP8870?

If the sound starts shortly for 1~2 and stop, we assmume the hard disk is out of order to be re-start.

You can contact original dealer for hard disk insoections or hard disk replacement within warranty.

Hi,
I've got a BIG prolem now!! I'm traveling in Vietnam and have tooken many photos. Every time my CF card is full, I back it up into my vosonic, the latest backing up is just done in this afternoon.
My big problem is that after I backed up the latest, I turned off vosonic and reopen it in this evening. It appear "No DISK" in browser botton and I've seen no icon therein at all, even backup icon. So, all my photos have gone? If not, as I wish, what can I do to get them back. It's very important to me coz if I can't, my recent trip will become nothing.
Please help me to resolve my problem.
